Carrie Lindsay Counselling
Sometimes life can be challenging for kids, whether its changes in the family, friendship/school issues, bereavement, or anxiety, amongst other things. These experiences can leave a child with a lot of big emotions that they can find hard to work through on their own, and can impact their capacity to learn and engage in school.
School-based counselling provides your child with a safe, confidential, therapeutic space to process and talk/play/draw about experiences that may be confusing, painful or difficult. This intervention can help them to rediscover their hope, build resilience, find their voice, improve their self-esteem, and in turn increase their potential for learning.
Carrie is the counsellor in Good Shepherd PS and offers counselling Monday-Wednesday.
Carrie has many years experience as a children and young people’s counsellor, and is an accredited member of BACP.
If you feel your child would benefit from a period of counselling within school, please contact your child’s class teacher or Mrs Finnegan (Link Teacher) to obtain a referral form.
